Our story

A souk find that became a small-batch shop

BohoBarks is a small shop in Durango, Colorado, selling dog collars made by hand in Morocco from leather and Berber carpet.

It started in the souk

BohoBarks began on a trip to Morocco. Among the rugs and lanterns of the souk were dog collars made the same way as the rugs: wool woven in Berber diamonds and zigzags, set into stitched leather.

They were too good to leave behind. The collars are made by leatherworkers in Fes, near the old Chouara tannery, with Berber carpet woven by women's cooperatives. We brought them home to Colorado, and BohoBarks grew from there — one small batch at a time.
